ABOUT SOLSTICE FESTIVAL

THE LOGO. The MATIZ DANCE, the artist who with scissors and paper drew a solar dance, inspired by a prehistoric dance and artistically transformed by Jorge Afanador @afanadordesigner  into an expression of diversity, races, colors and ways of thinking. 

SOLSTICIO FESTIVAL,  SOLSTICE FEST. A fantastic Green Festival, an event of culture, music, art, fashion and innovation that will coincide with the Solstice at the end of the year!  from December 20 to 30, 2025! The entrance is done by acquiring trees to be planted, in the largest reforestation campaign with several Festivals on Tour and others to the sound of the 4 Solstices and Equinoxes, the 4 seasons of Vivaldi, an event that is born in Bucaramanga, making it the center of convergence of Universal Culture creating an immersive experience that resonates like a Gong around the planet. Miami will be SOLSTICE CITY on 2026.

Bands, multi-instrumentalist Djs from different cultures and corners of the globe. Plues crafts, tourism, destinations, art, and lots of creativity at an unforgettable celebration of brotherhood. 

.Supported by UN Agenda 2030 and Colombian Laws: 2173 of 2021, which promotes ecological restoration and creates "Areas of Life" for the planting of native species. This law obliges medium and large companies to plant two trees annually for each employee, starting in 2023, and Law 2476 of 2025: Focuses on urban biodiversity, promoting the creation of more green spaces with native species and the establishment of plans for the restoration and renaturalization of cities.

The Festival will plant 15,000 trees, a challenge registered with the organization Plant for the Planet, planting different species including our flagship orange flowering tree, origin of the name Bucaramanga in different sectors of the city suitable for that purpose, transforming the landscape on par with Buenos Aires with its purple Jacarandas, and turning Santander into a Flowerpot to visit.

Adopt different areas of the cities, canyons, parks, and plant Búcaro trees, Jacarandas, Guayacanes of various colors and fruit trees to attract and multiply Biodiversity, generating a fabulous impact that will give identity, sense of appropriation and appreciation to the communities of the adjacent neighborhoods and to all citizens in general.

The first event will be held in SANTANDER Bucaramanga, the only city in the world, together with Naples, that celebrates its birthday on a Solstice, since this astronomical event is scientifically located on December 21 or 22, celebrating Bucaramanga with honors and giving the opportunity to build for our city and department an identifier and enhancer within the context of festivals, necessary to raise indicators.

We are going to position Colombia too as a World Center of Ancestral Solar Culture. America, has a debt with the homage to the Sun, the king star that day by day gives us life, the vital energy for life. The sun is not a ball of fire, it is eternal energy that caresses the planet and all humanity. According to NASA, the sun is a portal.
